Business Gold Coast Advisory Board

The Business Gold Coast Advisory Board (BGCAB) works with key business development organisations throughout the city to strengthen and diversify the Gold Coast's economic base and encourage national and international business investment.

BGCAB members represent the key industry bodies in our city, from business, industry, academia and government. These members have a thorough understanding of the local business and economic environment and share a vision for a prosperous and sustainable Gold Coast. BGCAB members are considered to be the key business leaders of our city.

Gold Coast City is one of Australia's fastest growing cities and is fortunate to maintain a collaborative environment between government, industry and the community. BGCAB is testament to this spirit of cooperation with representatives from our leading industry bodies taking part in the strategic direction of our city.

Funded by Council's Economic Development and Major Projects Directorate, the BGCAB committee meets on quarterly basis and is primarily a strategic advice oriented committee rather than a hands on committee.

Council established BGCAB in 1996 and since that time the Board has played a pivotal role in the economic agenda and future direction of Gold Coast City.
