Our Team
The crew of Gold Coast Australia come from all walks of life who have left behind their normal lives to step outside their comfort zone and take on the challenge of a lifetime.
Skipper
Gold Coast, Australia comprises 48 people including Australian skipper, Richard Hewson, 31, from Hobart, Tasmania. Richard has been selected as one of ten elite skippers who will lead our team in this year’s Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race. Read more about Richard here.
Crew
The crew represents 30 men, 17 women, six nationalities, one Gold Coast resident and three Queenslanders. The average age is 47, the oldest age is 72 and the youngest is 22. Read more about the crew here.
