Key Industry and Pacific Innovation Corridor surveys

Between February and May this year, Council surveyed businesses across its Pacific Innovation Corridor (PIC) precincts and key industries. The survey is an annual project implemented by the Economic Development Branch to gain an understanding of the characteristics and behaviours of businesses in the city. Areas covered within the survey include:

  • structure (business age, legal structure, head office location, residential business activity, branches, type of business activities, core business);
  • size (no. of employees, change in staff, labour spending, trading revenue, estimate of industry size); and
  • objectives and performance (importance of enterprise objectives, satisfaction with achievements, overall satisfaction, personal income).
