"Family Fair has found the ecoBiz program extremely helpful in the planning of our new Greenfield processing factory. The ecoBiz Program has been the tool used by Family Fair to assess opportunities to include co-friendly processes in the design of a new facility.  This program has met this total requirement in relation to planning the new facility.
In the first instance, the Planning Team at Family Fair had minimal experience in identifying and evaluating opportunities to include eco-friendly processes and design features in the planning for a new facility.  Your initial hands-on assistance with this early stage of process/design identification was critical.  We also benefited from discussions with a range of contacts provided by your group, the Brisbane ecoBiz seminar and input from Gold Coast Water.
Having identified opportunities for sustainable development, the challenge was to quantify costs and benefits.  This is an area which could not have been evaluated without the assistance of the ecoBiz program.

Most environmentally friendly options would not be viable to include in the design of a new factory without both evaluation and financial assistance.

Family Fair is a company reliant on national supermarket sales. Eco-friendly design and processes can be exploited (prompted) by supermarkets to increase product demand in a “healthy alternative” product.  It is anticipated the promotion of the ecoBiz symbol and the inclusion of this symbol on millions of packs (once approved) will result in a sustainable marketing advantage.  The importance of this marketing opportunity should not be under-estimated in an atmosphere where Australian voters have placed environment issues and associated policies as the area most likely to influence the way they vote.

Family Fair will continue to use the ecoBiz program in the future to assess opportunities for sustainable development."
